Special Events can be Fundraisers & Fun

Circle of Sisterhood Foundation fundraisers are thinking outside the box to raise money for the cause. Many schools supporting the foundation are taking events that have a strong appeal to students and adding a small donation to the ticket to the event. Last week, the Panhellenic women at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio attended a broadway production of the musical “Wicked”.

Organizers opened the event to two members from each chapter on campus. The attendees gathered for snacks in one of the sorority suites, then loaded a chartered bus to travel the 45 minutes to Cincinnati. During the bus ride, students learned about the foundation and were challenged to take te message back to their chapters and encourage other ‘out of the box’ fundraisers.

Almost $1,000 was raised during this fundraiser and the women are exploring the idea of doing another Broadway trip in the Spring.

Thank you for your efforts!
